COMERIO ERCOLE is ready to develop and manufacture equipment capable of increasing a range of performance metrics. These include the flexibility to produce different materials at the same plant; levels of constant precision and repeatability of dimensional parameters of the calendered product; product stability on the windup unit as well as guarantees in product tolerance; process cost savings and scrap reduction; and calender management – as far as production optimization and productivity increase are concerned.
One such modern solution is the Shuttle CE windup unit – a configuration designed for a complete automatic roller change cycle at the set length without slowing down the calender, and without intervention from the operator. The Shuttle CE windup section is composed of two identical stands on a shifting platform. While the stand in operation is under the cross-cutter unit, the other stand is situated out of the line axis of the calender line, on the side of the stand in operation. Replacement of the roller for the product and for the liner can be performed on the two sides of the calender line in an offline position. Loading and unloading can be performed with a dedicated crane system or an automatic factory integrated system.
COMERIO ERCOLE team has just satisfactory commissioned a very special rubber sheeting calendering plant based on MINIDUPLEX® 4 roll configuration providing a rubberized thickness of just 0.075 mm each rubber sheet. With the new HYDROPLUS® configuration very thin production can be easily obtained, continuous R&D activies are performed at our laboratories.
