At COMERIO ERCOLE, we place a strong emphasis on R&D, offering our clients two advanced laboratory facilities dedicated to material testing and the development of new products. These laboratories are equipped to handle complex experiments, allowing us to support the creation of new mixed and calendered products and evaluate raw materials.
The “Renato Lualdi” laboratory, in operation for over 10 years, features a vertical two-roll calender that enables testing of new rubber compounds and other elastomers such as PVC, PU, and PET. Our patented hydraulic systems, HYDROGAP® and HYDRONIP®, ensure precise control over the calendering process, enabling accurate lamination force testing. This lab has also been instrumental in developing high-performance embossed nonwoven products, such as the HELIX® line.
The more recent “Giulio Natta” laboratory, operational for the last five years, offers an expanded space with more advanced capabilities. It is equipped with a fully hydraulic two-roll horizontal mill, which can perform a wide range of mixing performance tests, as well as a complete four-roll calender line. This lab is ideal for testing new materials and formulations, such as PVC compounds, to validate their stability. The four-roll calender line includes various technological modules that allow for flexibility in adapting to customer-specific requirements. It is also equipped with features like lamination, embossing, and cooling systems, all designed to replicate industrial production conditions, ensuring reliable and consistent results.
COMERIO ERCOLE is dedicated to offering our clients the necessary tools, expertise, and state-of-art facilities to foster innovation in material science & product development.
