This year’s edition was particularly exciting for us as we were thrilled to take part as active contributors to the Conference, where we presented our most recent innovations in the field of rubberized fabric and steel cord calender line collection area. Our session drew significant attention and was met with great interest by both industry experts and technical specialists, confirming the relevance and value of our solutions.

Last month, we began telling the story of Comerio Ercole’s origins, when Mr. Ercole was already showing his remarkable skill in redesigning and documenting mechanical tools. This month, we turn the spotlight on a key figure in the company’s history: Eng. Gaetano Spina , the first Technical Director of Comerio Ercole. A man of great insight and professionalism, Spina played a vital role in shaping the company’s technical direction during its early development.
On the occasion of Comerio Ercole’s 50th anniversary, celebrated on October 27, 1935, Ing. Spina paid tribute to the founder with words that still resonate today:
“You have manufactured with your own hands in a smoky and lightless workshop, with a compass and a ruler of gear teeth that had to be precise, similar to a sculptor who has only his own eye that is difficult to fail. With mechanical tools that were at that time craftsman’s tools, incredibly inferior to what the hand of man could do… You have built up the necessary experience through an incessant work of observation of the technique of others and of your own technique, pushing this intelligent work of comparison and criticism to the limits of accuracy worthy of a researcher rather than a technician. The ten thousand drawings made by your hand and which I have been able to examine, almost all of them, are proof of this.”
Engineer Spina’s words capture not only the technical rigor but also the artistic spirit that shaped Comerio Ercole from the very beginning.
