Back in 1885 Ercole Comerio, a young technician specialized in a steam boiler production company, and his wife Teresa Marcora founded the sole proprietorship Comerio Ercole, based in Busto Arsizio, dedicated to the maintenance of textile machinery in consideration of the numerous factories in the city. From a small individual business, the company quickly transformed and grew, taking the form of a joint-stock company since 1922 onwards and adapting its corporate purpose to the progressive transformations of the industrial system.
From the dynamic activity of the Comerio family, the example and the directives to work with the best customers in the world arise; This means not only acquiring important commercial positions, which are essential to see the future in real terms, but above all the ability to operate at the highest possible technical level.
The main industrial complex in Busto Arsizio of Comerio Ercole covers an area of over 40,000 square meters, of which about 20,000 square meters are covered. The site has areas dedicated to design, machining, assembly, wiring and testing with an area of over 500 square meters used as a Research & Development laboratory.
The layout of the company site has been designed to allow the best and highest “performance” in terms of quality and productivity.
An innovative thermal co-generation plant and a photovoltaic system guarantee the right relationship of independence, the correct mix between sources and an efficient use of available energy resources, proving that attention to the environment can validly coexist in Comerio Ercole with the development of industrial activity.
Comerio Ercole permanently employs about 200 people, contributing, with its more than one hundred thirty years of work and experience, to characterize the history of the Lombardy area where it is based, remaining a point of reference for the most qualified sub-contracting market.

Comerio Ercole systematically dedicates great attention to all R&D activities thanks to a qualified and recognized team of specialized technicians, regularly carrying out basic research “BR”, applied research “AR” and pre-competitive experimental development “ED”. In recent years, Comerio Ercole launched an intense patent activity to ensure adequate legal coverage for its technical and technological skills with a portfolio of over 20 active patents. Comerio Ercole can also manage customized projects based on the specific needs of “RCT” customers and since 2000 Comerio Ercole has been an R&D laboratory recognized by the Ministry of Education, University and Research MIUR and since 2008 it has been registered as a CRTT – Research and Technology Transfer Center to the QUESTIO system of the Lombardy Region. In recent years, Comerio Ercole launched an intense patent activity to ensure adequate legal coverage for its technical and technological skills with a portfolio of over 20 active patents. Comerio Ercole can also manage customized projects based on the specific needs of “RCT” customers and since 2000 Comerio Ercole has been an R&D laboratory recognized by the Ministry of Education, University and Research MIUR and since 2008 it has been registered as a CRTT – Research and Technology Transfer Center to the QUESTIO system of the Lombardy Region.
